NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I have to mail my baby away for repair! A row a pixels
went out in the display of my beautiful laptop. The laptop that I use
almost everyday. The laptop that provides me with endless hours of
glorious emulation, music, and anime DVDs. The laptop where... where
I worked on my web site! I won't have my baby for 1-3 weeks. So that
means the renovations of all the sites I'm working on will have a 1-3 week
delay. Bahhhhh this is NOT fair! I want my baby fixed right
now!! Don't leave me, my beautiful laptop. I... I... I
love you... I will never forget you. I will never forget all the
hours we've spent with each other. I love everything about you! The
sound you make when I turn you on... the really loud and annoying anime
wav files I make you play when you load the desktop... the time it takes
for you to finish a thorough scandisk and disk defragmenter... oh
how I will miss you when you're gone...

My addiction to anime DVDs is still flourishing quite lively. I just
recently bought $300 more! I got both volumes of Revolution Girl Utena and
the movie, all four volumes of Sorcerer Hunters, Bastard!!, and a bunch of
movies that I have a hard time remembering their names. Heh, I haven't
even gotten a job yet. I shouldn't be tapping into my precious savings but
OH anime DVDs are so addictive! Anyway, I'm so excited about Golden
Sun--Game Boy Advance's first RPG! I can't wait until that comes
out. I'm so happy that my Translation Nation section is finally up.
Now people will get to know about all the kick ass SNES RPGs being translated as
we speak. I'm still pissed off that no one is taking the time to
translated Tactics Ogre. Tactics Ogre is THE coolest and most entertaining
SNES RPG!! Dang nang it!!! I want it translated! I just
recently finished my first city in SimCity through emulation. Click
here to see it. I've smothered my city with police departments and
I've put quite a bit of nuclear power plants. The lower left part is the
ghetto because those houses refused to develop, even when I put happy stuff like
parks in it. Bah. I just recently beat Earthbound through
emulation. That's such a GOOD and unique game. Click
here to see a screen shot of the last battle. That fat kid is in a weird-lookin
alien thingy and Ness' face is Giygus' current form. Oh yeah today is
Halloween. I'm not doing anything. Last Saturday I invited to a
Halloween party from an old friend in high school. I decided to go cause I
had nothing better to do that weekend. All that we did was watch movies
and talk. Some of the movies that we watched was The Crow and Rocky
Horror Picture Show. I brought Vampire Hunter D and Blood: The Last
Vampire. I didn't think anyone there would give a damn about anime but it
turns out that they were interested to see Blood since I spoke to highly of
it. Everyone saw it and thought it was pretty cool. I was the only
person that wasn't dressed up, but I came wearing all blue so I told people that
I was dressed up as Monica Lewinsky after a sex change. Some girl dared me
to dress up in a lime green skirt and a lime green thong and dance around
everyone. After an hour of her persistence, I gave in and went along with
the dare. I changed into the skirt and the thong and wore nothing else, my
hairy Hispanic body was exposed. I went in front of everyone and did a
quick dance. Click here to see an MS Paint
picture of me doing that. I'm never going to wear a thong again--those
things hurt! I don't like the feeling of something going up my ass.
Bah.

Ah the tower incident is terrible. But I won't get into that cause it
makes me depressed. I just finished watching the whole Agent Aika series
and LOL its so funny and perverted at the same time! This anime shows
women's panties in almost every scene! And when the women get
knocked out, they fall down in such exotic positions. Even though it
sounds trashy, everything else isn't. It takes place in the near future
after a disaster that put most of the earth underwater. The main character
is a spy and she goes off the stop an evil scientist and foils his twisted
plans. The second volume has the scientist's followers seeking
revenge. OH I must get more anime DVDs!! I'm so addicted. I
really want to get Blood: The Last Vampire. That one is drawn really good, kinda
like Blue Submarine 6. WAAAH the whole Vampire Princess Miyo series and
Sorcerer Hunters series is taking so long to come out! Only a couple
volumes are released. You might be telling yourself "My God I've
never heard of the anime he's talking about". I hear that a lot on
the internet. Damn it! TV anime isn't the only anime out
there! The anime I talk about can be easily found in any anime store and
very easily found in on-line anime stores so its not unheard of. Bah my
car wouldn't start on Tuesday. I thought it was the battery but I replaced
it and it still wouldn't start. Then today I called for a tow truck to
come pick up my car and take it to the dealer for repair but... all of a
sudden... my car magically started working again! I kept on trying
it and it kept on working! ARGH I hate cars! I hate driving!
Driving is so scary! Florida drivers are INSANE MANIACS that love to
honk!! The evil Left Lane Pixie always makes me get lost. She makes
me take the left lane when I'm not supposed to. I hate you Left Lane
Pixie! I managed to take a picture of this horrid little thing. Click
here to see it. Curse you Left Lane Pixie! You always make me
lost and wander around for hours in some scary place that I've never been
to! You made me drive all the way to the coast when I was supposed to go a
totally different direction! Click here to
see a picture of the accursed Left Lane Pixie working her magic on me, making me
take the left lane when I'm not supposed to. Damn you Left Lane
Pixie!! Damn youuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!

Being on a free host pisses me off so much! It's disgusting browsing my
own site on freakin Tripod. I keep telling myself this is the best option
and Tripod is one of the best free hosts. ARGH but its still a free host
and that means its not the best quality. And now I'm getting more involved
with college so if I stumble upon a good hosting deal (which is highly unlikely)
then I won't be able to afford it. This is as good as it gets. The
only other thing I can do to improve my situation is to make mirrors for each of
my sites. So if Tripod gets moody then people have the option to browse my
site on another free host. I'm still working on the renovations of my
anime sites that are down. For my Tenchi Muyo site, I've collected almost
400 high quality DVD screen shots. I'm so disappointed that the Tenchi
Muyo OVA series is not compatible with DVD-ROMs so I can't get screen shots from
it. But the Tenchi movies are! So I've gotten a majority of my
screen shots from them. Damn, I have so much enthusiasm to make anime
sites dedicated to non-TV anime! But since they don't play on TV, people
could care less about a site dedicated to them... but there's so much kick
ass anime out there that's even better than TV anime! Kick ass anime
series like Slayers, Fushigi Yugi, Orguss 02, Evangelion, Macross Plus, Magic
Knight Rayearth, Kishin Corps, Ranma 1/2, and Record of the Lodoss War.
Kick ass movies like Wicked City, Ninja Scroll, Akira, Fist of the North Star,
Demon City, Project A-Ko, Tank Police, Venus Wars, Casshan: Robot Hunter, and
many more. Anime that shows on TV doesn't mean that's the only good stuff
out there. Doh I wish I can copy all my favorite anime for everyone.
I only have enough spare time to copy some of it for close friends. I
wonder why anime like Slayers or Magic Knight Rayearth doesn't show on TV.
They barely have any "weird" or "intense" scenes which are
the normal reasons why many anime are rejected from the glory of being on
TV. I can understand Fushigi Yugi because that anime has a ton of
dramatically intense scenes that would be too much for a young audience.
Oh nevermind about Magic Knight Rayearth, I just thought of a reason why it
wouldn't be appropriate for TV. The ending reveals something that would be
too much for a young audience to bare witness to. But there's still
Slayers! That anime is so good and so appropriate for TV.
Bah. It would be so great if there was an anime cable channel but highly
unlikely. Anime is so good because its a cartoon that has beautiful
animation, a great storyline with aspects that American cartoons rarely have,
and an overflow of originality. And these really good storylines have
things that aren't appropriate for young audiences. That's why it would be
highly unlikely that there would be an anime cable channel. Only a handful
of good anime can be cut up enough to be appropriate for TV. Every other
good anime has a storyline that's considered too bizarre or too intense.
All that we get to see on TV is Japanese childrens cartoons. Yes, all of
it is childrens cartoons--even Dragon Ball. Well... Gundam is the
only exception cause its quite serious. But don't get the wrong idea, I'm
not saying they're all bad. I'm just stating the truth that, in Japan,
they're aimed for young audiences. They're like Disney movies, they're
made for children but they're so entertaining that adults like them too.

FINALLY my site is back on the internet! I have finally given in and
accepted the only option I had left which is to put my site on a bunch of free
hosts. For so long I've tried to avoid forced ads and I've lose that
battle because of the horrible state that the internet is in. So many
great web sites are getting shut down. If this continues then there won't
be any fan-based web sites left on the internet. Just a bunch of
commercial sites and places that charge monthly frees. Free hosts are all
that's left that I can rely on to keep my web site up. I have to endure
ads all over the top of my pages... and down times... and slow
loading speeds. Argh! Oh well. This is better than nothing so
I'm grateful for it. I just hope Tripod is loyal to me. They seem to
be the best free host around. Wow, I'm so happy that my site is back
up. You have no idea how happy I am. My site means everything to
me. Bah, I haven't added that much new stuff. I add something quite
interesting to my Shining Force site, a comic I drew. I'm still working on
10 or 20 more sites. I work on all of them little by little. Lately
I've been obsessed with screen shots. I constantly take screen shots of
whatever emulated game I play. I've taken a almost 100 screen shots from
Final Fantasy 4-6. I've been playing Final Fantasy 4 and 5 a lot
lately. This is my first time playing Final Fantasy 5. I think I'm
halfway through it. I'm working on a new section where I actually cover
non-rpg games. But it won't be a devoted section cause all I'm doing is
little reviews for some of my favorite Super Nintendo games. I recently
finished an interesting section called The Magical Wonders of Save State
Hacking. It took me only a couple hours to make it. I've been
getting into arcade emulation recently. There are so many kick ass arcade
games out there! My favorite is Neo*Geo games! Those are the most
impressive ones. I love arcade emulation so much that I intend on making a
special section here in Ramblings introducing it. But I won't be posting
up any arcade ROMs because they take up around 5-30 MB. I expected arcade
ROMs to be much bigger than that but they're still too big for the mere 50 MB
that free hosts offer. It would take like 50 Tripod accounts to carry all
my favorite arcade games. I have a giant collection of anime DVDs now,
maybe around 80 or so. Magic Knight Rayearth and Fushigi Yuugi are both
true masterpieces! They both have the best storyline that I have ever
experienced in an anime series. I highly urge any anime fan to get
them. Kishin Corps came out recently! I love that anime so
much! Finally I own it on DVD. My original copy was an SLP copy of
an SLP copy and it was subtitled. It was interesting to see one of my most
favorite anime dubbed. There are still several aspects of the subtitled
version that I like better than the dubbed. Like when the hyperactive main
character screams out "MARIA!!" or "BAREHO!!!" with that
loud Japanese voice. I don't really have much of a preference with the
"dubbed versus subtitled" argument. Sometimes subtitled is
better and sometimes dubbed is better. Sometimes my mood prefers subtitled
and other times it prefers dubbed. I intend to make a section in Ramblings
with a list of all the anime I own, comments, and if I would recommend it.
OH I love anime so much! I must have more!! Tenchi Muyo and Ranma
1/2 are the only two anime series left that I really want. I also want
Sorcerer Hunters and Vampire Princess Miyu but only two volumes are out so
far. I feel so naked getting only portions of a series so I need to wait
until all of it is done. I hope people aren't entirely disappointed with
the major changes to my anime part of my site. My Tenchi Muyo, Ranma 1/2,
and Vampire Hunter D sites are down for renovations. I own lots of that
anime on DVD and I really want to add high quality DVD screen shots to
them. I don't own any Sailor Moon DVDs yet so it will be a while until
that site comes back up. But Pokemon is the only site not coming
back. I am sick of Pokemon and I refuse to continue working on it.
But my legacy won't die, I've given all of my Pokemon Picture Archive's pictures
to several popular Pokemon sites.

I AM FREE! FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Now more Compaq! No more bitchy
customers! No more stress and frustrations! I quit today! And
I did it professionally too because I gave in my two weeks notice exactly two
weeks ago so that means I can use this place as a reference for my next
job! Wohoo! I'm so happy I can barely contain myself. (pees in
his pants) Ahh spoke too soon.

NOOO my web site is off the internet yet again. I can't take anymore of
this. I can't. My web site is everything to me and again its off the
internet. The reason why is pretty much the same reason it was taken off
the first time... bandwidth costs. Yes, bandwidth costs. You
might be asking yourself what that is. I'll explain. Let's say you
visit my main FantasyAnime. You have now taken up about 50 KB of my
bandwidth. Then you visit my Ronin Warriors web site and download some
pictures. You have now taken up about 1.8 MB of my bandwidth. Get
the idea? Browsing my web site and loading all my files onto your computer
eats up bandwidth. So when hundreds of people browse my site, the total
bandwidth in a day can be several hundred megabits and even a gigabit.
Hosting plans on the internet cover about 8 to 10 GB of bandwidth a month.
My site takes up 50-80 GB a month. And these evil hosting people charge
$1-$10 per extra GB. So that means I get a whopping bill of $500-$1,000 a
month from bandwidth costs. The first time my web site got shut down, that
wasn't my fault because my host was bought out by another company and suddenly
changed their prices and hit me with a big bill and only one weekend to pay
it. I admit that the second time my web site was shut down, it was my
fault. Why? Because I didn't understand the whole aspect of
bandwidth and I didn't know my web site takes up a huge chunk of bandwidth a
month. I've search and searched the internet for a hosting plan that would
fit my demanding web site needs but all of them were result in a hefty bill each
month. This is terrible! The internet has been really going down the
drain ever since the stock market started going down. Many of my favorite
web sites are being shut down so its not just me that's a victim of high hosting
prices. You might be telling yourself "Then why won't this guy put
FantasyAnime on a free host like Geocities?". I'm kind of stubborn
when it comes to that but that option seems to be my only one. Free hosts
are slow, have ads, offer little space, sometimes they're down, and can delete
my web site anytime they want to. I have no other choice though. I'd
have to split up my site onto like 50 free accounts. Ah this is
terrible. I don't feel like thinking about this now. My life has
been so stressful the past couple weeks. I hate working for Compaq.
I hate handling all those bitchy demanding idiotic people. When I
first started this job, they made it sound so easy and well worth it.
Well, they were half right. The job is easy when you get used to it but in
the long-run--it will drive you insane! I was doing okay until my
tolerance barrier broke down a month ago. I cannot stay working at this
place a second longer. Everyday when I get up in the morning, I have such
a fear of going to work and I have to push myself so hard to get ready and go
there. I'm always afraid if the next customer will be really bitchy and
difficult to work with.
June 13, 2001
My site is back on the internet! Finally! I'm very happy. I
purposely left out the sections that are missing. I've decided to remove
my Pokemon site since Pokemon disgusts me. But I will eventually have all
its pictures posted in zip files for anyone who wants them. My Tenchi Muyo,
Vampire Hunter D, and Ranma 1/2 sites are left out because I want to recreate
them and include high quality screen shots from DVDs. I haven't decided
the fate of my Sailor Moon site yet. I want to improve the
"non-hyperlink" RPG sites before I put them back up. I somehow
lost my copy of Final Fantasy Tactics! I need it for my FFT site's
remodeling. I hope I can find it. If not then I could always buy it
again. I heard recently that it will become a greatest hit so they'll be
selling it for $20--wohoo! Work has been getting very stressful.
I've been getting headaches and I rarely ever get headaches until I started
working at this place. Compaq's customers are so horrible! They're
mean, rude, ungrateful, and bitchy! It seems like all the nice people
don't want to bother technical support. Everyone wants Compaq to bend the
rules or make a special exception for them. People need to understand that
every major company has rules and procedures that all the employees need to
follow. Compaq is actually a great company and they make great affordable
computers. Yeah there are people that get "lemons" but that's
the way it is for every computer company. And the time it takes to repair
whatever problem takes the same amount of time with every computer
company. Like it takes 3 to 5 business days to send someone to your house
to replace something. Some people get so pissed off when I tell them
that. They want their computer fixed within a day. That's
impossible. A dispatch for an onsite technician has to go through several
steps and process through the system. That's the way it is for every
computer company and bitchy people need to accept that. And then they yell
at me and demand to speak to my supervisor which is pointless because he's just
gonna say the same things I did. There are people that get really pissed
when they call technical support when they're out of warranty. They expect
Compaq to magically make an exception for them and fix whatever problem they're
having. With ANY company, when you're out of warranty--you're out of
luck! But Compaq cares so they have free software support at the Compaq
web site. But out of warranty software support over the phone is a fee of
$39.95. If its a hardware problem then there's nothing Compaq can do since
their warranty expired. Ack! Thinking about all of this gives me a
headache. Sigh... sometimes it takes me 15 minutes to have someone
right-click on My Computer. Here's an example...
Me: "Ma'am, I want you to right click on the My Computer icon then
left click on properties"
Lady: "Okay, now I see 3 1/2 floppy A, local drive C, system save
D..."
Me: "I want you to RIGHT click on the My Computer icon, not left
click"
Lady: "I still see 3 1/2 floppy A, local drive C, system save
D..."
Me: "CLOSE My Computer then right click on it. Click on the X in the
upper right corner of the window"
Lady: "I'm clicking on it but nothing is happening"
Me: "Do you see an underscore, a square, and an X in three small
gray buttons on the upper right of the window?"
Lady: "Oh yes! Now I see it"
Me: "Left click on the X then right click on the My Computer icon
then left click on properties"
Lady: "Got it! Now I have Display Properties"
Me: "You right-clicked on the wallpaper, I want you to right click
directly on the My Computer icon"
Lady: "Nothing's happening"
Me: "First close Display Properties then right click on My Computer
then left click on Properties"
Lady: "Nothing's happening"
Me: "Click on Cancel"
Lady: "I don't see an option to Cancel"
Me: "Look on the bottom of the Display Properties window. There are
three buttons: Okay, Cancel, and Apply which is shaded out"
Lady: "They're all shaded out?"
Me: "Apply is shaded out"
Lady: "I don't see any shading..."
Me: "Look for Okay and Cancel on the bottom of the Display
Properties window"
Lady: "..."
Me: "What do you see on the bottom of the Display Properties
window?"
Lady: "I see 3 1/2 floppy A, local drive C, system save D..."
Well that should be enough to give you an idea how some of my calls are
like. That's how it can take 15 minutes to tell someone how to do such a
simple little thing. I swear, there are some people who should NOT be
using computers. I do understand that people don't know much about
computers but PLEASE some of the things I tell them to do are simple little
tasks. And then some people complain that I'm using technical terms that
they don't understand. OH PLEASE! Something like
"right-click" is not a complicated technical term. I need an
aspirin...

My precious FantasyAnime has been removed from the internet.
Am I torn by it? Not
entirely, I still intend on putting it back on the net.
I just don’t know when. But
I am very impressed and flattered by the feedback I got in return.
I’d say I got around 300 e-mails in a period of one week.
I never realized my site was THAT good.
I didn’t even think it was good. I
thought of my site as just another web site with nothing really significant.
Especially since I don’t use the “professional design” like the
style at IGN or FFOnline. Heh, but
I’m glad my site is nothing like Classic Gaming.
That site is just pure eeeeevil! But
there is only one thing about this whole situation that has pissed me off (which
is kind of off the subject), I recently became aware that the version of Final
Fantasy 5 that I had available in my site seems like a beta version because of
all of its errors and mistakes. That’s so horrible! All
the years (well maybe like 1 or 2 years) I had my FF5 ROM posted and no one told
me how disgustingly annoying it was! Half
the text spills over to oblivion or is still in Japanese.
Plus the main character’s name is displayed as a weird symbol most of
the time. What makes me even more
confused is that many people e-mailed me compliment e-mails saying they enjoyed
my FF5 ROM so much and thanked me for providing it but did not even hint me once
of its translation flaws. Oh well,
I can’t change the past. At the
moment when I discovered this, right after I immediately went on the internet to
download the Japanese FF5 ROM and the final English patch and patched it.
The difference was very obvious and quite refreshing to know that a
flawless English version is available. So
whenever my FantasyAnime comes back on the net, it will be equipped with a
perfectly translated FF5 ROM. Ah
that reminds me of another issue, big-time companies are beginning to crack down
on emulation again but this time they’re really feisty.
The reason for this is because N64 and PSX emulation has grown too big
and they don’t like that at all—especially since those games are still very
much sold in stores. I really
really hope this recent trend in emulation bashing will not effect emulation of
16-bit systems as much. I will
continue to have my 8-bit/16-bit ROMs posted until I am threatened to take them
off by a major company. The only
way for me to keep the wonders of the classics alive is to have them
downloadable. Well besides all
that, I haven’t really been doing much to improve my site while its down.
All I’ve been doing recently is collecting more screen shots for many
of my games as I play them on my new laptop computer.
That reminds me, I never mentioned that I finally got one.
I got it several weeks ago AND I LOVE IT!!
It’s a Compaq Presario 1800T with a 20 GB hard drive, 750 MHz Pentium
III processor, 128 MB of memory, ATI Rage video with 16 MB, and a 15 inch
screen! Wow, its so nice.
I am finally enjoying the magical wonders of SNES and Genesis emulation
to its fullest. But I’m not
enjoying PSX emulation. Its still
in its early stages of development so its very glitchy and annoying.
BUT there is one game of mine that is emulated almost perfectly, that
game is Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
Have you ever played that game? It’s
one of my favorites! It’s kicks
too much ass. But all my other PSX
games play so horrible on PSX emulators. It
will be like a year or two until PSX emulation is perfected.
Maybe even sooner but I wouldn’t know.
At least emulation of 8-bit/16-bit games has been perfected.

Tales of Phantasia is the coolest Super Nintendo RPG I've ever played!
Everything about it is amazing!! It deserves much praise. I finished
my site dedicated to it about a week ago. Right now I'm working on my Ogre
Battle site and its coming out pretty cool so far. And then when I finish
that I'll either continue working on the remodeling of my Shining Force sites or
start remodeling my FF3/6 site. Like I've said before, I must remodel all
my gaming sites that I haven't updated in eternity! I'm not improving them
to get more hits, I'm improving them so that I can be proud of my whole entire
FantasyAnime. I don't like being proud of just some parts of it.
Anyway, my brother got a new computer a couple weeks ago. It's a 700 MHz Gateway.
Lately I've been messin with it here and there and enjoying doing some things that I can't do on
this damn 166 MHz computer. I experimented with Playstation emulation and it turned out to be pretty cool.
It was interesting to see my games so clear on the computer monitor. I spent all day experimenting with all the Playstation emulators available.
The best one I found was Gaming Station (I think that's the name of it). It's the 2nd commercial emulator distributed besides Bleem.
I tried Bleem and it really sucks. I even found the cracked version and it still sucks.
I also found a cracked version of Gaming Station. Visually, it emulates great! The way it emulates music is pretty good but not perfect.
And the sound emulation is horrible. The sound is either not there, too loud, not accurate, or scratchy.
Another thing about Gaming Station is that it has no features. But at least you can save your games and it supposedly has gamepad support.
But its good to know that Playstation emulation has progressed this far so quickly.
Gaming Station will be perfect if only they improve the music emulation and massively improve the sound emulation.
It would be even better with 3D render feature. I found a not so good
Playstation emulator that has it! It renders the polygon graphics making
them 50 times clearer! Too bad the emulator is full of bugs. Bah, oh well.
Gaming Station is better than nothing. Now I have another reason to look forward to my laptop that I want so bad.
I've learned today that 700 MHz is good enough for Playstation emulation. On top of that, my brother's Gateway has a Celeron 700 MHz processor (its really cheap and goes slow) so my laptop will run Gaming Station better with a Pentium
III 700 MHz. That's the processor I want for my laptop. Pentium all the way!
Celeron processors suck. ARGH I want my laptop so BAD!! I've been looking through all my old Nintendo Power magazines at all the reviews on SNES games.
I'm trying to hold myself back from my brother's computer so I can enjoy SNES emulation on my beautiful laptop.
This crappy 166 MHz can't emulate for anything so I haven't fully experienced
the wonders of SNES emulation yet. But at least it can handle emulation good enough for me to take screen shots for my web site.
So far Compaq's Presario 1800 has caught my eye. The price is a whopping
$2,199 but I must have it! I'll have the money in a week. I've been
saving up for it for months. January

Bah, I haven't done much lately. Since my last post the only other thing
I've done is finish the remodeling of my Secret of Mana site. I can't help
it! I'm obsessed with remodeling my gaming sites that I haven't updated in
ages. I feel so naked having half my gaming sites look good but the others
look dull and boring. I'm trying to add original sections so that my
gaming sites can stand out from the rest. Like my made-up espers section
in my FF6 site and my Shining Force Movie section in my Shining Force
site. I'm thinking of other ways to blend in my bizarre humor with my
gaming sites. I'm still working on my Shining Force comic. It's
coming out so hilarious! Dang nang it, I need a scanner. The only
other way to scan my comic is to go to Kinko's. Lately a handful of people
are pestering me to make a FF9 site. FF9 is a great game but I feel weird
when I make a site for a recent RPG. There are like thousands of web sites
for recent RPGs and I feel so unoriginal contributing to the masses. I
have more fun making sites dedicated to "rare" RPGs like recently
translated ones. Right now I'm working on my Tales
of Phantasia site. Just in case you didn't notice, I made the title
back there a link to the game. I uploaded it a week ago and shared the URL
to friends. This game is amazing! It's graphics and music is so good
that you'd swear you're playing a Playstation game. Well work is going
okay. I was condemned back to training for about a week and a half.
But I'm grateful for the training because I realized that I needed some
more. I'm a lot more confident on the phone now and I can handle bitchy
people better. I had this one guy that was screaming to the top of his
lungs saying how much he hates Compaq and how he thinks Compaq ass-raped him
when he bought his computer. Argh, my life feels so boring knowing that
all I have to talk about is either my job or my web site. I don't talk
much about my web site to people cause I'm not 100% proud of it. That's
why I'm so obsessed with remodeling my older sections. I want to be proud
of my web site as a whole, not just some parts. Those massive gaming sites
totally kill mine in competition. But whenever I need some enthusiasm to
work on my site, I just go to RPG Classics.
That web site is the most horrible and pathetic RPG site ever! RPG
Classics is like GameFAQs but poorly
organized, very boring, and with a bad design. But information-wise; its
very much like GameFAQs because, after all, all the info there was copied from
GameFAQs. RPG Classics is like 0.01% original. A couple of their
gaming sections are designed to be better than others--they even put some
downloads! Those downloads would consist of maybe a handful of MIDI files
or even a picture or two. On top of that, I've talked to the owner
before. MY GOD he is the most big-headed web master I've ever talked
to! His ego filled up the room and threw me against the wall making me
gasp for air. I've never disliked any web site or webmaster until I
experienced the wrath of RPG Classics. But I go there every once and a
while so I can get disgusted by it so I can get enthusiasm to work on my
site. Recently I've been quite disgusted by their new Tales of Phantasia
section. Their characters section looks quite familiar. Actually, it
was completely copied word for word and pictures too from a Tales of Phantasia
site. Argh! That pisses me off!! RPG Classics put like no
effort into their Tales of Phantasia section. They put no effort into all
their sections. All they do is completely copy sections of other web sites
and copy info from GameFAQs. RPG Classics is a clone of GameFAQs.
Only difference is that RPG Classics is disgusting and poorly designed.
It's an archive of copied material. They've even taken some stuff from my
sites. Pictures in their Final Fantasy Adventure section look quite
familiar to mine. But I don't care too much about those anymore cause I've
already improved my FF Adventure site and added better pictures. I must
remodel more of my sites!! MORE!!! I can't wait until I get in the
mood to massively improve my Final Fantasy 6 site. That RPG is my all-time
favorite! Right now I'm just improving bits and pieces of it.
Anyway, I won't reveal too many details on this next subject but I'll just say
I've finally met that special someone and I'm very happy. That song
playing in the background of this page right now is Lady Achika's theme from the
first Tenchi Muyo movie. She's one of my most favorite anime
characters! Lady Achika is so pretty. She kicks so much ass!
She's so delicate yet so strong. The first Tenchi movie is one of my
favorites. I've seen it so many times. I will eventually get it in
DVD and then I'll be able to get some really good quality screen shots (if I
ever manage to buy another TV tuner card since mine broke in June). Anime
on DVD is so cool! A friend of mine has Neon Genesis Evangelion on DVD and
its so awesome! This Achika MIDI playing in the background is starting to
get on my nerves. Her theme is beautiful but this MIDI can get annoying
after listening to it for a long time. I'll change it to another one next
time I update this page. January 3,
2001
Well I decided to make a new page for my first post of the new year. So
lately I've added a site dedicated to Tenchi Muyo RPG and Magic Knight Rayearth.
My sites for them are so small! Both are cool anime rpgs but they don't
have any significant features that are worth making new sections for. I
could always make a maps section but making maps takes a looooooong time and
requires lots of patience. I've also done something that I never
do--remodel my main page! I had to get rid of all my pretty text images
for my gaming sites because I had too many. They were taking too long to
load. So I had to get rid of them and replace them with boring blue
text. Oh well, it happens. On the lighter side, my gaming sites are
now easier to access. But I'm still unhappy with the way I designed
it. It's time for a new design! I'm thinking of putting a beautiful
fantasy-like tree in the background making a "Secret of Mana" kind of
theme. I was also thinking of keeping the design but also add collages of
anime and rpg characters to the sides. I'll eventually think of
something. Anyway, today was such a horrible day! I had a lot of
hard calls and only 1 easy one. And you know how situations in life are so
horribly ironic? Well on one of my hardest days ever, I got audited by one
of the floor managers! Well to explain how things work, the whole entire
department for Compaq technical support has tons of sub-departments for
different types of Compaq computers and hardware. Such as desktop
computers, customized computers, laptops, customized laptops, printers,
networking, etc. and each sub-department has teams of 10-40 people and each team
has a team leader. Floor managers are the bosses of team leaders and in
charge of managing the whole entire department for Compaq tech support. So
floor managers are really serious people--who have enough power to be a
God! With the wave of their hand they can have you fired in a split second
without any hesitation!! THEY'RE EEEEEEVIL!!! So now that you have
an idea how floor managers are, I'll repeat what I said before I explained how
things are... I got audited by a floor manager!!! Want to know what
"audit" means?? That means when someone important listens to
your call and notes down how you handle it. They note down how happy you
sound, how confident you sound, how efficiently you solve the problem, how long
it takes you to do it, how you treat the customer, and so forth. Well I
flunked! The floor manager told me that the only good thing in my call was
that I sounded like a nice person but I did everything else wrong. He also
told me that starting tomorrow I'm going back to training with another tech
until my skills improve. On top of that, he's transferring me to the
"Dealers" department because he feels the customized computer
department is too hard for me. The Dealers department handles calls from
stores that sell Compaq computers. What a bummer! He's putting me
where all the "dumb" people are sent. PLUS he's sticking me back
to training! Damn it!! Why couldn't he have audited me yesterday
when I had mostly easy calls and handled all of them good. But noooo he
had to audit me today when I got tons of hard calls. Oh well...
training means doing nothing but listen and get paid for it. But still, my
pride is crushed and degraded and he made me feel like an idiot. Geez, the
judgmental words of a boss sure do have a powerful impact. Here's one of my quick
little MS Paint illustrations to project how I view my floor manager and how
small he made me feel... click here. |
