Graphic Design (a.k.a. the Adobe Illustrator class)
The following is my work from my Graphic Design class (6/17/03-8/19/03).  This is the class that teaches how to use Adobe Illustrator.  The only project we had was to create a 5-page magazine in Illustrator.  The magazine includes a cover, a contents page, two ads, and a spread page with an article.

  Magazine Project - Cover
Original format: Illustrator AI, 9x11½ inches, CMYK mode, 300 dpi
Ramblings: Don't get too impressed with my abilities, the end result of the logo and where I put the typography was after hearing frequent personal advice from the teacher.  This was the only bad thing about this class.  The teacher let us come up with the basic idea of something, but then he told us how to execute that idea.  I created the background image in Corel Bryce 5.

  Magazine Project - Contents Page
Original format
: Illustrator AI, 9x11½ inches, CMYK mode, 300 dpi
Ramblings: Ugh, the contents page.  The teacher kept on saying "It's too busy! Make it more simple!".  I originally had another cool 3D rendering from Bryce.  It had 3D blocks on the side of a mountain with the contents listings on the blocks.  The end result is what you see, a very simple design.  But the teacher loves it and says "The simplicity works. You can't have a contents page that's more attractive than the cover."

  Magazine Project - Spread Page
Original format: Illustrator AI, 18x11½ inches, CMYK mode, 300 dpi
Ramblings: The background is my finest creation yet in Corel Bryce 5. ^_^  Btw, I didn't type up that article, I copied it from somewhere. ^^;;  He let us since the focus is on how we design.

  Magazine Project - Ad #1
Original format
: Illustrator AI, 9x11½ inches, CMYK mode, 300 dpi
Ramblings: I traced over the photo of some pretty Chinese girl.  It came out nice. :)

  Magazine Project - Ad #2
Original format: Illustrator AI, 9x11½ inches, CMYK mode, 300 dpi
Ramblings: And this one came out even better!  It's another tracing of that same pretty Chinese girl.
