My Photography

Photography is more of a hobby for me. I'm not crazed or extremely passionate about it. I just do it every now and then as something fun to do and as a means to help my artistic eye stay open and sharp.

Random Ventures

Date: 2007

Ramblings: Various photos from throughout the year. It's stuff from the kitchen, my car, parking lots, around the house, Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, a local playground, a friend's house decorated for a party, and a fancy New Orleans' themed bar.

Las Olas

Date: 7/06

Ramblings: I went around Las Olas (a popular area near the beach) with my friend. I learned that the city is like a playground for photographers! Everywhere is an opportunity for art photography. There were oodles of opportunity to capture structures in perspective. It was raining all day; I got to experiment with water reflections. I'm surprised the lightning isn't too bad in these photos. The day was still cloudy from all the rain so I expected the photos to come out rather dark. (Note: The ideal time for photography is during sunrise and sunset during a clear day.) Overall, I'm really happy with these photos. I learned how easily captivated I am by perspective (heh, perspective slut).

Old Naples

Date: 4/12/06

Ramblings: Last week I went to Old Naples with some of my family. I felt deceived, for the place we went to was a street mall. I thought Old Naples was a museum or preserved city of some sort. I hate malls, and I especially hate shopping! >_< My mom and auntie were all excited going through the wide array of little stores. To avoid throwing myself in traffic to end the torture of my boredom, I thought I'd take advantage of the surroundings to do some art photography.

Around the House

Date: 3/06

Ramblings: Ah, my first official bundle. I suddenly felt compelled to see how far I can go with art photography. These photos came from several sessions. I was quick to learn that it's best to capture photography at sunrise and sunset. The photo on the very bottom is the shadow of my dog.
